Energy Typologies
CASE07 ENERGY TYPOLOGIES
FROM ENTITY TO UNITY
The traditional division between producer and consumer has been dissolved trough social networks and the Internet where material and information is shared between individual actors. A similar change is taking place in the energy sector trough smart grids, which enables everyone to become a “prosumer“.
The stability and reliability of the unifying smart grid increases if it is composed of separable micro grids with stationary energy storage capabilities and thus in Case07, different energy producing systems and typologies based on local actors in the regional context of Bad Blumau will be researched. The focus lies on illustrating the relationship between energy production, culture and landscape and also on identifying potential synergies that can emerge between different entities so that new hybrid systems and typologies can be developed.
